B&W Y-12 Awards Stein Construction Small Business of the Year
Jun 19, 2011

B&W Y-12 LLC, the company that manages all the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Oak Ridge facilities, recently recognized Stein Construction with its Small Business of the Year award for construction.

Stein Construction, started in 1912, is Chattanooga’s oldest general contractor. It built the new Bear Creek Road Bypass within the federal facility. The job was completed on time, under budget and with zero safety incidents.

“That’s tremendous,” said Ted Sherry from the NNSA’s Y-12 office.

Stein is led by fourth- generation President Doug Stein.
